An enthusiastic group of GasanMamo employees, split into eight teams, rushed around the Maltese Islands for the much awaited GasanMamo treasure hunt in aid of Fondazzjoni Wens, held on Saturday 17th November. The treasure hunt saw the employees unlock different clues in several locations in Malta, mainly the Delimara Lighthouse, Fort Delimara, Fort San Lucjan, Maqluba in Qrendi, Ta’ Hagrat Temples, Bingemma Chapel, The Inquisitor’s Palace in Siggiewi and a countryside chapel in Wied Qirda in Zebbug. All the teams completed the treasure hunt and had to scavage sixteen objects and return back by 5.30pm. “Like all the events we organise for our employees throughout the year, this was yet another successful one,” said Brian Scicluna from the GasanMamo social activities committee. “The feedback we got was great and weeks after the treasure hunt employees are still talking about it and enquiring on when the next one will be held.” GasanMamo employees managed to raise €240 for Fondazzjoni Wens, an organisation committed to enhance the quality of life of disabled persons through innovative personal support, expertise and advocacy. The treasure hunt was won by Team ‘Catch the pigeon’; Hubert Said, Karl Borg, Vincent Scicluna and Kristian Vella. Second place were Funtastic 5; Lara Cassar Magro, Roberta Portelli, Darryll Baldacchino, Trevor Rutter, Andre Curmi and third place The Y-Nots; George Portelli Hale, Sarah K Borg, Christine Fenech, Elaine Muscat. |
