GasanMamo Insurance Supports LifeCycle Malta’s Journey of Good Hope: A 2,000-Kilometer Challenge for Renal Patients

GasanMamo Insurance is proud to strengthen its commitment to social responsibility by partnering with LifeCycle Malta for the next monumental challenge – the Journey of Good Hope. This 2,000-kilometer mountain bike expedition will take participants on an unforgettable adventure from Gaborone, Botswana to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa. This event aims to raise vital awareness and funds for individuals suffering from renal failure.

A 2,000-Kilometer Challenge with a Purpose

The Journey of Good Hope is not just a test of endurance and resilience; it is part of LifeCycle Malta’s mission to support patients with kidney disease. As Malta’s only charity organization exclusively dedicated to renal health, LifeCycle has been making a significant impact since its founding in 1999, raising nearly €4 million to assist kidney patients through various events and challenges.

This year’s journey marks LifeCycle Malta’s fourth trip to Africa, and participants will be tested by a physically demanding route while enjoying the stunning landscapes of the Garden Route—renowned for its breathtaking coastal views and diverse wildlife. The challenge will culminate at the Cape of Good Hope, a symbolic and iconic finish at Africa’s southernmost tip.

Key Dates and Preparations

The Journey of Good Hope kicks off in late October. Participants will depart from Malta on Friday, 25th October, and return two weeks later on Friday, 8th November. In preparation for this strenuous adventure, intensive training started in June 2024.

LifeCycle Malta’s Legacy of Giving

For over two decades, LifeCycle Malta has organised annual challenges to support individuals affected by renal disease. Throughout the years, the organization has covered more than 53 countries across multiple continents, tackling some of the world’s toughest terrains to bring attention to the cause.

Funds raised during these challenges directly benefit patients by providing resources for medical care, facilitating access to treatments, and offering emotional support. LifeCycle Malta’s partnership with entities like the Renal Unit Support Health Hub (R.U.S.H.) ensures that patients in Malta receive the necessary assistance for their treatments.
