We caught up with Claudia and asked her some questions about her life ambitions and how she sees life in general.

Q. If I had to ask you, who is Claudia Buttigieg, how can you sum that up?

A. Ambitious, hard headed, determined, spontaneous and I have a very good sense of humor. I am a bit of a loner and enjoy time alone. My son is my top priority and everything I do in my life revolves around him.

Q. Glass half empty or half full?

A. Half full

Q. One thing that comes to mind if I had to ask you what a great year it’s been for you?

A. When my husband got promoted to Head of Procurement/Tenders and Contract management. That was quite an achievement.

Q. What does your hobby give you? How does it pay off?

A. I love music and I am a huge fan of Pink Floyd. Their music is a huge part of my everyday life since it always manages to soothe me even after a long stressful day.

Q. How much time do you invest in it and is it worth it?

A. Whenever I can, I listen to their music in my car, at home and wherever else I can by using headphones. It is worth it, it keeps me sane !

Q. Anyone in your family that shares your same passion?

A. Not really, unfortunately most people don’t appreciate their music, many think it is depressing, I beg to differ!

Q. How would your life be different if you could not do what you love?

A. It won’t really be different but I would have to take up another hobby to help me unwind.

Q. Any interesting things related to your life passion?

A. I enjoy and treasure spending time with my family, whatever the situation or case may be.

Q. How did you start listening to Pink Floyd?

A. I started gaining interest in music at the age of 9 and never looked back since then.

Q. What is your life ambition? Is it related to your life passion or other?

A. My ambition is to provide my son with all the best opportunities life has to offer.

Q. What did working in the insurance business teach you?

A. Apart from knowledge in insurance I have dealt with people from all walks of life so I feel very comfortable adapting to any situation no matter who I am around with.

Q. Is there anything you are afraid of?

A. Losing the people I love.

Q. If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?

A. If I could afford it, I would move to a small island in the Indian ocean away from people and technology and enjoy the beach and sunshine in peace and quiet!

Q. Favourite quote?

A. ‘One day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted. Do it now’

Q. Select one person from history and have them truthfully answer one question, who would you select and what is the question?

A. I would choose Adolf Hitler and ask him why he killed and why he had such profound hatred for Jews.

Q. Ugly and live forever, or attractive and die in a year?

A. Attractive and die in a year, I don’t want to live forever

Q. If you could have anyone locked in a room so that you could mentor them for a day, whom would you choose ad how would you mentor them?

A. I would choose someone who is Suicidal and make them understand that no matter how bad life can get and no matter that life throws at you, you must find the strength from within and keep going no matter what. You can overcome any situation in life if you adopt the right attitude.

Q. If you could wake up tomorrow in the body of someone else, who would you pick and what would you do?

A. I would wake up in the body of one of the people who live in a tribe. I can never imagine what life would be like living in a jungle away from people, technology and the modern world. This is something I would want to experience given the chance.

Q. If you had a chance for a ‘do-over’ in life, what would you do differently?

A. I would have pursued my studies further when I was younger and would have followed my dream to study medicine or forensics.
